911 Parrot Alert
is volunteer service. We use a 'free'
Yahoo database
which is in a format of a message forum. Both Lost and Found
Birds are in the same area. To see them you do a
'Search'. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
You
must join the
Yahoo group
to
search the database. Make
SURE to choose "Daily
Digest"
when you sign up. Each day you will receive one to three emails
listing lost and found birds. One may be a match for yours. |

To
search for Lost Birds - in the
"Subject"
box, type
LOST [your state abbreviation] [type of bird]
and
hit
Search. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
To
search for Found Birds - in the
"Subject"
box, type
FOUND [your state abbreviation]
and hit
Search.
It is not recommended to put the
"type"
of bird, as many people who find birds do not list the
"type". |
|
| |
Also, keep in mind that fully flighted birds can travel
up to 50 miles a day. |
|
| |
Birds
not only can fly far distances in a short amount of time, but
also may be transported by car. We recommend searching within a
100-mile radius. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
You
may further advance your search by using the
"date option"
and choosing the date from when the bird was lost or found. |
