While walking this morning in High Park, Toronto, we saw this baby blue coloured parakeet. It allowed my dog to approach it as close as about 2 feet then flew up to the fence and then an overhanging branch out of reach. I am not a bird owner and was unable to capture the bird myself and with my dog, couldn’t do much. But it does look like a domesticated bird, and alone in the park. I saw it at the south west end of the duck pond which is what I call the pond located between the zoo and the jamie bell adventure playground. If you walk along the west side of that pond, heading south, parallel to the field, it was seen at the corner before you round the fence.
