This bird has been roosting in the trees and on garage roofs on our block for about two weeks. Over the past few days, it had been edging its way into our yard, and this morning it was in the bushes by our front porch. This was not a safe place due to the local feral cat population (and visibility to passing cars), so we contacted an avian specialty vet for advice.
We fed the bird fruit and were able to cage it for a trip to the vet. It is now safe in knowledgeable hands, but we’d like to help find its owner.
