Found this sweet little blue parakeet in a driveway-parking area between my house and two other apartment complexes. My roommate and I know little about bird so I contacted a friend that has a rescue, and also another bird of 17 years. Also contacted rescue leagues in Boston area for more info.
The bird is not injured. Cannot fly far, so we assume wings are clipped. We lured it into a ventilated shoe box with seeds and fresh fruit and brought it in before it got dark out. Has been fed and hydrated. Is in safe conditions.
We are situated in Porter Sq. on the Somerville/Cambridge line.
