I first discovered the birds at my feeder. I think these are Fischer lovebirds or a combination of peachface and Fischer. They look very much alike except one of them has a dirty white band of feathers around its neck. The other has a few of these feathers but not as many. They would come either together or separately. Lovely little birds. They chirp loud and squeaky and love to communicate, but will not let me get close except for one time. When I hear their chirp, I have been adding lovebird food to my feeder. They come throughout the day and eat heartily. They look a little rugged from being outdoors, but beautiful. We have many cats and chicken hawks in the area and I fear for them. They seem like they have adjusted to the outdoors….they eat with the other birds and squirrels, but I fear for their safety with the weather and predators. No bands.
