Success! The parrot came down out of the tree this morning…just as my husband was ready to put on his climbing spears and belt, as well as a long telescopic pole! Fluttered out of the tree and landed softly in a bush! Carried home wet and hungry by his relieved owners! Thanks for your input! Dorothy

Heard the bird late in the afternoon – thought it was a human!!! Amazing whistler c/w wide repotoire! Spotted it a couple of hours ago in our neighbours very large maple tree. It’s totally inaccessible – very high up. Grey body, lighter grey head and underbelly, bright red tail feathers. I am not exactly sure of the species but it does look like the picture of the Congo african grey.
