FOSTER—– Someone contacted me about an hour ago. She was seen Friday morning at 8 am on the corner of Rhode Island Ave & North Capitol NW. There was a lost sign within 15 ft of her! At least she got through that chilly night. The weather has been better since then. She didn’t get very far overnight. That’s just a block away from where she got out. We walked all around those couple of blocks tonight until it got completely dark. My nephew was out looking for her on Friday morning but did not go south towards Rhode Island thinking that there was too much traffic that way, He was concentrating on the blocks north & west of us.

FOSTER—- Found (fingers crossed) I got a call this morning from a high school student who had a police officer call. The young man found Riley on Friday afternoon on his garage roof. Seems to just want the money for food and cage. Of course! Police officer saying he doesn’t want reward, just wants to do the right thing. Will be calling with his father tonight to make arrangements. I’m just overjoyed that Riley is safe.
We were fostering her for Phoenix Landing and she flew out the door when we let the dog out. She’s very friendly and will go to anyone. Typical conure, feisty and not afraid of anything. We were looking for an adopter so if the finder wants to keep her that would be great. We just want to know that she is OK.
