Talking parrot gone missingMay 9, 2011 at 2:11 pm by Dennis Yusko
OK, Leigh posted a bird story, so here’s mine. On Friday, Bill Uris of Henry Street, Saratoga Springs, posted this status update on Facebook: “My heart is broken Wilma is missing! She got between the blinds and flew out last nite! I’ve been outside till 2:00 last nite trying to find her!” Turns out Wilma is Uris’ treasured talking parrot. She flew out his window at around 7 p.m. Thursday. The Blue Amazon bird hasn’t been seen since. He’s posted a reward for the parrot he’s owned for more than five years and loves. “I would be so happy to give the money up if she is found,” he said. If you happen to see her, contact Uris at 469-3018. Uris recently placed Wilma’s cage outside his home in hopes that she would return. No luck yet.
