Large male Congo African grey, characteristically great mimic. Banded, aluminum color band beginning with FF. If he’s stressed, water from a spray bottle is helpful, he loves it, also homeopathic aconite or arnica if you have it – he’ll take it from fingers or in water. Will accept a wide variety of soaked or dry seeds and grains, fruits, vegetables, also Hagen Tropican and Harrison’s pellets. Almonds, pecans, apples, peaches, tomatoes, steamed brocolli, and romaine lettuce are favorites. Watch your fingers, he will sometimes bite. Step up onto an arm is best, or he wll usually step up to a stick if you want to be on the safe side.
