Still missing DEC 15-14

Hi. My name is Jack and I’m lost. I hope you can help me find my Mom so I can get back home. I was sitting on my Mom’s shoulder and got scared when she tripped. I flew off at 8:15 p.m. on June 13th in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

I am capable of flying quite a distance away from home. I didn’t mean to get lost, but everything looks so unfamiliar to me and I’m afraid out here on my own. I really want to get back home as I miss my Mom very much and I’m sad that I’m away from her. She loves me a whole lot and takes really good care of me. I know she must be really sad too. I even miss my stupid cat, Betty.

I’m a parrot, specifically, I’m a Nanday Conure and I’m just a year old. I have a band on my leg and my Mom can supply complete band information for you.

Here is what I look like…mostly green with a black face, black beak and white circles around my eyes. I’m about 11 inches long and have long tail and flight feathers that are black with some blue and green. My upper chest is a bluish-green, and my lower chest area is a pale green. My legs have bright reddish-orange feathers and my feet are flesh colored with black nails.

I usually answer my Mom when she says some of my favorite words…”night-night,” “bath,” “kisses” and calls my name, “Jack.” I have a very loud squawk.

I’ve not been around a lot of strangers, so I may be scared, but I’m still hoping you will help me. I’m very afraid of loud noises and unfamiliar sounds, so I want to get back to my Mom.

If you see me or if you know someone who has seen me or has taken me in to help me, would you please contact my Mom?

Thank you for trying to help me find my way back home.

Jack
