Very sweet normal grey cockatiel named Piper. Hand raised from baby and was just at a year old when she escaped in early March, 2017. Piper gives ‘kisses,’ and was learning to whistle Tales From the Crypt and Star Wars theme songs. She also plays peek-a-boo and can say this very clearly. She will say ‘hey Piper’ and ‘oh, hey.’ She will try her best to take your food if she is out while you are eating, and will also eat from your hand without hesitation. She also loves to be scratched behind her crest. VERY trusting bird. We miss her dearly. I know this is a long shot but if you have any information or have found a bird that fits this description in the slightest way PLEASE contact me. Birds can travel very far and it is not impossible that she made it out of state. I say ‘she’ but am honestly not sure of the sex because she was was so young when she escaped. She saw an Avian vet who assumed she was female but couldn’t guarantee it since she had not yet fully lost her spots under her wings when she saw evaluated at her office. Thank you and we hope to one day be reunited with our beloved Piper.
