  • Species: Cockatiel - Lutino (See species list for details)
  • Location: Garland, Texas, United States 75042
  • Date Lost: April 28, 2017
  • Banded: Yes
  • Microchipped: No

On Friday afternoon (4/28), as I was coming inside from the backyard, one of my cockatiels flew out the door over my head. Evidently, a cage door had come open and multiple cockatiels were loose in the house. The one that flew off passed me by so fast I could not clearly see which bird escaped. I believe it is a lutino (solid yellow – see photo). It is also closed-banded with a red leg band reading “TX RKL XXX”.

The bird flew north from the intersection of Jupiter and Walnut streets, and disappeared into the trees. I have not been able to see him, nor have I heard him since that time. With the storms coming through today, it is likely he will become soaked and be unable to fly in these winds. Please call me if you find him.
