My female Senegal parrot, Ripley, got spooked this afternoon on my balcony and caught the wind, flying down the road into a clump of trees.

I was out there trying to find her all day to no avail. I heard her vocalizing at one point in the forested area of a 9-acre farm next to my apartment complex. My roommate and I were able to convince the property owner to let us look for her, but by that time it was after dark and she stopped making sounds.

I’m extremely worried about her. She’s only 1 1/2 years old and is missing a lot of feathers, so she’s a very clumsy flier. There’s a busy road near where she was, and low temperatures can be dangerous for her.

She got lost on Rogers Rd between Culebra Rd and Wiseman Blvd (by the Sevona Westover Hills apartment complex).

She has a single yellow feather on the top of her head. No metal band. Responds to R2-D2 sounds and other whistles.
