{UPDATE} Thanks for your offer of help. Unfortunately the bird passed away not long after I found it. I suspect that is why it was just sitting in the grass when I found it, that something was very wrong with it.

Found what appears to be a blue parakeet just sitting in the grass near the corner of Encino Ave. and Hamlin Street in Van Nuys. Not sure if it is sick or not. It is very quiet. We won’t be able to keep it long since we have no bird care items. We hope it has an owner that is looking for it.
