When I pass by the Pelham Bay Subway Station, 6 line, I’ve been hearing an exotic bird on or around the tracks above the street, that sounds like a parrot, or similar exotic bird. I think it could be someone’s lost pet. I hear it squawking/vocalizing happily – apparently survived the deep freeze temps we just had. I have been hearing it, haven’t seen it, for over a week, from the street. Please check if you are missing your bird. There are lots of pigeons there, so perhaps this bird found companionship and sources of food. (I asked clerk in booth if she knew about it but she didn/t)
