Rehomed to Marin Humane Society, here is an email from Kristen, the finder:

Hi Carolyn,

I found the bird in Sausalito, CA 94965 on 5/3/12.
He’s a Pied Cockatiel, yellow, white and gray.
He’s a very, very sweet bird.
When I found him, I contacted the Marin Humane Society to let them know I found a bird. They, in turn, reached out to everyone they knew — but, know one came forward. Yesterday, I surrendered him to them. If you want to post that they have him – I’m sure they wouldn’t mind. Here’s his info:
He had a red breeders band on his right foot. He has a dislocated left shoulder. Probably from someone trying to grab him or of him flying into a window–the vet said. I took him to the vet so they could xray the shoulder to make sure it wasn’t broken. They removed the red band off his leg at that time.
I would post that he cannot fly due to this medical condition– which he may or may not have had prior to my finding him. He is absolutely darling and I would keep him if I could.
So, at this time, he’s at the Marin Humane Society.
Thanks so much for your interest.
Kristen
