A BAYSWATER family’s beloved pet parrot has flown the coop and they want your help to find him.

The Spada family’s two-year-old Alexandrine parrot Shiloh escaped while being fed on February 9, and the loss has devastated the family.

Mum Angela said her daughter Madison, 7, was distraught after Shiloh flew away and their other parrot Paulie was fretting over the loss of his mate.

“Madison used to go out and play with Shiloh all the time after school,” she said.

“He would cuddle up to your neck, he was such a lovely bird.”

Mrs Spada said her husband, Rob, was feeding Shiloh when the bird was spooked and flew out of his cage. Mr Spada felt so bad about Shiloh that he bought another parrot, but she said Shiloh could not be replaced.

“He’s not just a bird, he’s a family member of ours,” Mrs Spada said. “I’m just hoping he’s safe somewhere.”

Shiloh is a medium-sized bird and has a metal wire foot ring on one leg.

He is light and dark green with a distinctive black, blue and pink ring around his neck.

Mrs Spada said there was a reward for the bird’s safe return.

Anyone with information should phone Mrs Spada on 0419 309 332.
