I only had about 20min to evacuate my alpaca ranch on Sunday when the Monument fire crested the ridge at the top of Renegade Trail. I was forced to just open the pen and hope for the best for my pair of peacocks. They were spotted together about a half mile away on Wednesday night, and a neighbor found my female in his garage this morning (THANKS BOB!!!) But the male is still missing. If anyone sees him, please call me. He doesn’t have the full peacock tail feathers yet, but his head is blue. He may be calling for his girlfriend, so even if you hear some really weird bird sounds you have not heard before, give me a call please – 366-5579 or 249-0362.
