Lost – Our Congo African Grey parrot (named ‘Koko’) took flight Monday evening (July 4th) and disappeared into the trees on our County Road 3 property. We are located south of the Ottawa city limits – (Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry Twp) about mid way between the village of Inkerman and Brinston Road (near South Mountain). Koko is about 7 years old and is going through adolescent hormone surges – which might explain why he took off unexpectedly that sunny evening. His primary flight feathers were clipped by the vet recently, which limits his ability to achieve great heights or fly large distances without landing somewhere and taking off again.

General description: Koko is a bit larger than a pigeon, has a cute white face, a hooked black beak, mottled grey body feathers, grey wings and short bright red tail feathers. He knows his name and usually responds to whistles or the sound of a phone ringing. He will likely be willing to step up onto your hand and would not turn down a piece of bread & peanut butter or banana.

IF YOU SPOT KOKO, PLEASE call Ron or Gail at 613-989-2298 DAY OR NIGHT. Our eternal thanks and a modest reward will be offered for his safe return. Thank you!!
