Ricky is 17 months old, born May, 2012, and I have had her since she was about 3 months.
She speaks very clearly, says her name, my name,” Carol”, and my husband’s name, “Wally” also says a few sentences
like “Ricky wants a peanut, Ricky loves Nora. what are you doing, whats your problem, where is chessy, Mercades, shut up”,
We show dogs and Ricky knows all their names, like “Remy where are you” and those above. She also has picked up
a few swear words ! My husband taught her to whistle the melody of La kukaratcha (Mexican song).
She is not very social with other people other than me, whom she loves like her mama, and my husband, whom she tolerates.
We travel extensively in our RV going to dog shows and she has been with us in the RV for a over a year, caged, of course.
She loved to have her cage outside the RV at the dog shows and talked constantly as long as a stranger did not approach her.
All my dog show friends are as upside as I am that a crazy lady tried to grab her and she took off like a rocket, with my husband running after…we searched for her for hours and continued to search the next day before we left for home. I have friends in Savannah who are contacting Vets and animal control…and I posted on Facebook, where one of my friends recommended 911 Parrot alert. I will supply band info when needed.
