Our family is reunited, Poki was found yesterday about one and half miles away living large at a beach house. The owners were very nice, and said he flew down onto they’re outdoor table two days ago, so that means he was on his own for six long days. And he sure shows it, he’s lost alot of weight. Other than the weight loss and a sore toe he is just fine. He gorged himself so much last night that he had a pooch belly like I’ve never seen. He was so happy to see his mamma, he started doing his Poki dance, he was just ecstatic, such a mamma’s boy. Mamma was the one that rescued him. When we moved into this house a year ago, we found that the bird came with the house, and we had no idea how long he was in this house by himself before we came along. I never thought that I could get so attached to a bird, but oh I was going crazy with worry when he was gone. But he’s home and safe now. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and overall help in the search for poki, and a shout out to the very nice family that found and took care of him for the last two days. And I can’t forget their neighbor that found my post on craigslist. I don’t know what we would have done without craigslist, we would never have found him. Once again thank you all, Todd

P.S. All you bird owners still looking for your lost family members, don’t give up your search. Some of the stories that I have read on the internet are in deed miracles, but very possible, so keep on posting your adds, put up flyers, post on the parrot sites, you never know when someone might find your friend.
