Thanks so much for your advise and positive thoughts. I do have good news; someone called the human society today and my mom was reunited with her bird. Thank goodness, I know she felt horible and a bit guilty.

Goes by the name Gracey. She was lost on 30-Aug-11, near Wenatchee Valley Hospital, specifically Ormiston Street. She has a grey and white body with red tail feathers. She is banded for ownership ID. These are not pictures of the exact bird; these are downloaded pictures from the internet that look very much like my lost bird.
