Follow. HE HAS spent three years lovingly building up his colourful collection.

Now, bird-lover Mark Allison is bereft after all 38 of his budgerigars were stolen in the dead of night.

Mark Allison’s budgerigars were taken in a raid on his aviary.
.Mark, 26, has been breeding the tiny birds since he was 23.

He hand-built an 8ft by 14ft aviary at his parent’s home in 8th Avenue, north Hull.

But all 38 of the birds, each worth between £10 and £20, went missing during a raid last week.
