Hi all, I’m still looking for a crow who was scared off by gunfire while we were camping way up Rock Creek (near Philipsburg) in late October. He was last seen a few weeks ago near the intersection of Rock Creek Road and I-90, and may be heading towards Missoula.

I’m frankly surprised (and so, so relieved) that he’s been able to survive this long on his own. Since my ultimate wish was that he eventually assimilate into a wild flock (I found him this spring as an abandoned nestling), I would be happy to let him be if he’s found his way to one. However, for peace of mind, I’m still searching for him. I just would like to know where he is and what’s happened to him. From the reports I’ve heard, he’s still all alone out there and taking advantage of the kindness of strangers.

So please keep your eye out for a smallish, friendly crow with a slightly offset lower bill and a tendency to beg for food from people. Reply to this post or call 808-772-0120 if you think you may have seen him. Thank you!
