  • Species: Macaw - Yellow Collared (See species list for details)
  • Location: Owensboro, Kentucky, United States 42301
  • Date Lost: September 24, 2011
  • Microchipped: No

JJ is a yellow collared macaw that was stolen with her sister Beau. I was given custody of them when their mom passed away and I only spent a few days with them before they were kidnapped. I did not get to find out a lot about them, I don’t believe they are banded or microchipped. JJ is a special needs bird. She will be 24 in April and has been a life long biter. She needs to be in a home where they know how to work with her and to get her proper care and exercise without hurting her or themselves. She was stolen by a woman named Robin Hoskins who lives in Terre Haute, IN. we believe she took them to sell for profit. I am worried that she was sold to a home that will not understand her and will hurt her if she bites them. more details are on my page

Our local law enforcement say they cannot do anything about it even though the woman admitted she took them and was told not to and that they already had a home. We are hoping that by posting in the bird community we will be able to find the people who may have purchased them or who may have seen them and we can find out if they are ok
