Thought I’d make my own post about it: we lost our budgie. St. Peters, Mo.
His name is Stormy, he bolted on the day we brought home our newborn baby. 😟
He hung out in our backyard tree for about two days, and ate the seeds we left for him, but a storm rolled through and we lost sight of him in our neighborhood after that.
It’s likely he has been seen by another member of this group, but we investigated the area today and we weren’t able to see him.
I was hand training him, but we moved to our house over a month ago, and it sort of interrupted our progress as he became wary of our new environment.
His mate Zoe misses him greatly. 😔
He also knowsws how to whistle. We taught our girl Zoe, and he learned fromom her mostly. He knows kissy sounds too.
He loves millet seeds, but he also vibes with watermelon.
He has a favorite video – I play this for both of them so they feel comfortable and happy (it’s the budgies Mango and Chutney, chattering):
We are worried about him with these storms. The picture of him likely spotted nearby, he was fluffed up, which means he must be cold.
If you see him, please try to catch him. 🥹
Photos: one is from his first/previous escape attempt, he fled to our tree but came back down and let me pick him up. I wanted to secure him gently.
