MISSING LONE PET PIGEON from Barclay & Thurlow (DT Vancouver) on June 15 Monday afternoon. This is not a joke.
My pet pigeon, Francisco, is missing and I am kindly asking for people to keep an eye out for a lone bird that may be on rooftops, balconies, ledges seeking shelter food and water.
Because my pigeon isn’t banded and looks similar to other pigeons, the only visual identifier (that is if you see a pigeon similar to him) is by observing how he behaves.
He may be nearby other pigeon flocks but act awkward or somewhat alone/different amongst them.
Or he may be frequenting/lingering around one area appearing lost.
He has been an indoor pigeon his whole life so he will NOT act like a normal wild pigeon.
If you do see him, you can call out his name, “Francisco come here.. Francisco come here” (over and over again), with your hands out on the ground near him. He will respond by walking towards your hands cooing and doing little circles/dances. That is how you’ll know it’s him. Once he is near your hands you will be to grab him.
He left with his WATERMELON pants on but he has also found ways to get out of them in the past. So he most likely does not have them on now.
He is a dark bird with light grey patterns, specifically two distinct light patterns at the top of his wings and grey on the top of his tail.
I just kindly ask people if they can check their balconies, windows, roofs or on their walk around the city to see if there is a lone pigeon lingering around. 🥺
Please let me know if you have seen him. I miss him dearly. Thank you so much.
