Green and yellow parakeet sighted (Salem Willows Park)
While visiting the park nearest the beach at Salem Willows my son heard and saw a green and yellow parakeet in the trees. We have parakeets of our own and he called to it and tried to coax it down without luck. He said it was hard to spot because it blends in with the leaves so if you lost one, maybe play a recording of another parakeet and listen for a response. I’ve also read that a lost bird will often land on it’s cage so try that too.
