LOST Parakeet female Camilla 8/4/2015 light yellow & gray rippled with teal breast & back I have never seen another like her. Camilla was startled and disappeared high in the north sky 8/4/2015. Camilla’s face and head are yellow, with periwinkle blue cheek patches, She has light gray & yellow ripples on her head, starting at eye-level giving her the appearance of eyelashes. The light gray and yellow rippling extends on down her mantle and wings. Her long tail is lighter. Her brilliant teal (aqua) back shows dramatically through her light wings. Her breast is a lighter teal (aqua), and her feet are pink. She is stunningly beautiful, (no black at all). Her cere (above her beak) is pinkish flesh tone or tan. She is 2.5 to 3 years old. She might come to an open white cage with seeds & water, or land on your head or hand or come to one finger, or climb up all your fingers like a ladder. She might come to bittersweet clippings if you can find any. If she comes to you, she would like bird seed and a romaine lettuce leaf cut into strips up to the center vein and clothes-penned to the cage by one end over the perch. She and her male companion enjoyed flying from their den cage about the downstairs daily, perching on the highest drapery rod, but they avoided the kitchen. I put their cage on the front porch daily in warm weather. She had never before landed on a tree or bush.
