Jasper is a sweet but timid little guy. He was originally a rescue after his prior owner passed away following a three year battle with breast cancer. The reason this matters is that for about three years he was not allowed to be near his human (she had a line for chemotherapy). He was 10-11 years when he came home with me -his period of isolation made him very untrusting of people and hands in particular. These past six years have been fantastic with his socialization and he has gotten much better with his trust. He does not bite unless he gets scared, but I urge caution if he does not want to step up (he will put his head down and butt with his beak). He had the run of the house and on Tuesday night I was airing the house after cooking and I made a loud noise and he spooked. I’m really worried because we are having cold nights here in Portland. Please please help get him home and let me know if you see him (713) 213-0197. I have to believe that he’s exhausted and scared right now.
