A green parakeet was hand carried into the vet hospital where I work. They found it in the vicinity of the hospital which is at 4111 El Camino Real in Palo Alto, near East Meadow. It appears to be in good condition, very hungry and thirsty of course after flying around in 90 degree heat. I happen to have a bird cage so I brought it home but cannot keep it. Animal services has no reports of lost parakeets and offered to pick it up.
