South san jose/ east foothills in the california oak creek development (behind silver creek country club) i put the sunflower seeds in my food processor and he’s been eating it. i have found what i believe to be a parakeet in our backyard on late monday afternoon. i have never owned a bird, so i am taking a wild guess. it is very friendly, and came up to me a jumped right on my finger, so it is obviously a domesticated little bird (4inches??). i currently have it in my shephard’s dog crate!! i am feeding it sunflower seeds and bought a ladder for it to purch on. i am needing information on to whom or where i can take this little bird to for proper care and hopefully a new home. we have put flyers up in the neighborhood, but who knows how far this llttle bird has traveled?? i would keep it myself, but have recently rescued two indoor kittens and don’t trust them being home alone with a little bird all day long!
if you could please help me with some information/advice i would greatly appreciate it, as i can’t keep it!
