Found ringneck dove (santa cruz), Hello! I was riding my bike today and I found a small bird (which, after some internet research, found to be a ringneck dove) sitting in the middle of the street right near the intersection of Delaware and Almar. After it was almost run over, I managed to get it off of the street and get it home with me, where I’m taking care of it for the moment. It’s obviously someone’s pet, as it seems pretty tame and has one of its wings clipped. One of its eyes seems injured as well.
