Juvenile Brown Headed Parrot (Poicephalus cryptoxanthus) found in Silver Lake area of Providence RI and reported to RISPCA. Bird is currently housed at the RISPCA facility in East Providence/Riverside, RI. Friendly, hand-tame, seems very young, in decent shape. Makes some clicking and kissy noises. We have band number for verification. Wings do appear to have been clipped, but it appears to have been an incomplete clip or a while since last clipping – can fly but very clumsy.
