I’m hoping someone here can help identify a breeder or owner. About a week ago, we found a very friendly sun conure near Noches de Colombia in Hackensack, NJ. The bird is healthy, clearly tame, and wearing a closed silver leg band with markings that suggest it came from Florida (FL) and possibly a breeder using the code RMA. He/She is very well trained. Likes to be on the shoulder. Loves peanuts.
We’d like to do the right thing by either finding the original owner or identifying the breeder to help backtrack ownership.
If anyone recognizes this band code or has any info on breeders using “RMA FL,” please reach out. I’ve also submitted to LegBandRegistry, but figured the community might be quicker and more helpful.
