Yellow/green parakeet has been in my yard since yesterday, Mastic Beach North of Neighborhood road. Seems friendly but scared yellow parakeet with beautiful green markings, has a blueish purple spot on each cheek under his eye, and a silver band on right leg.. He’s in my apple trees with the wild birds but i know this is or was someones pet. He won’t make it once the weather gets cold. I’ve tried tried to catch him but he’s too afraid, and I figure at least he’s safe for now. If you’re missing a yellow/green parakeet please email me, he may come down to the owner. And if someone just released him for whatever stupid reason please email me so i know and i will try harder to catch him and find him a proper home. Thanks!
