Good news!  The person that contacted me was the bird’s owner so he’s back home now.  They are very, very lucky; he had gotten out on the 15th.  I’m so happy it worked out.  Thank you for your information!

Thank you for your email about  I didn’t know there was such a site and I’m happy to learn of it.  Since I have 3 birds people always call me when they find lost birds and there aren’t that many places to post about that.  I think this may have a happy ending, a girl called me and she’s coming to look at him shortly.  I’m sure he’s hers because she lost hers in the same area.  The funny thing is that I volunteer at a big cat rescue and sanctuary in that area, and I got a call from them yesterday that one of the lions had found a pet.  The cockatiel had flown into the lion’s cage and the lion was just watching him and following him around!  Luckily the bird was tame and came to the volunteer, but I thought that was the craziest thing ever!  I’ll post on the site if he really has found his home.  Thank you for emailing me!

Cockatiel found 1/18/12 at InSync Exotics in Wylie, by Lake Lavon Dam. Very tame.
