Apparently the cockatoo was originally found a year/year and a half ago according to reports by local residents and the finder released the bird in March 2012 when it was found by the current person who make a commendable effort to locate the owner. Luckily the original Craigslist ad for the lost cockatoo was housed in the 911 Parrot Alert Yahoo Group database and a phone number was available for contact. Stanley is now back home after being gone for 20 months!

“I want to thank you very much for the service you provide. I would never have been able to find the ad you shared with me without you! I spoke with the woman and she is coming over to get the bird. His name is Stanley. I have mixed feeling because in the short 30 days I have had him I have fallen in love but I know that his true true family loves him and wants him back!! Thank you so very much for helping me reunite them. I just cant say enough!”

ORIGINAL POST STATED BIRD FOUND IN MARCH 2012, RECENT INFO IS THAT A NEIGHBOR FOUND HER/HIM OVER A YEAR AGO.. SHE LET HER/HIM OUT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT WANT HIM/HER AND THE BIRD FLEW TO US .
