My husband and I spotted this unbanded young parakeet in a tree across the street (Virginia Center Boulevard side) from the Vienna Metro Station in Virginia. We coaxed the bird onto my husband’s shoulder, and I managed to safely capture it. We took the bird to a friend who already has parakeets and is fostering this one for us for a few days.
