Today our worst nightmare happened – our pet cockatiel, Aussie, flew out the door and took off in the direction of Old Colony Park in the west end of Kingston, ON (we live on Purcell Cr. For reference).. He is very tame and friendly and we are HOPING that eventually he will fly into someone’s backyard or onto someone’s shoulder. He has absolutely no idea what to do outside the house and will likely be up high as I’m sure he is terrified.. PLEASE keep your eyes open when you are walking/driving/biking around your neighbourhood/old colony/bayridge area as he could be anywhere by now. He has a leg band on although we aren’t 100% sure what it says, other than his year of birth, ’05.
He loves towels and cloths and is easily excited by the sight of them, and if he saw one he would fly towards it..
