  • Species: African Grey - Congo (See species list for details)
  • Location: Madison, Alabama, United States 35758
  • Date Lost: April 29, 2011
  • Banded: No
  • Microchipped: Don't Know

As best we can piece the story together…..  someone found her after
8-9 days and had her for a day or two then because of some type of
family emergency where they were leaving town, they passed her to one
of their friends/neighbors.   She was found within a mile of home, in
a nearby neighborhood.  My daughter plans to stay in touch with the
people and hopes to get a chance to speak with and personally thank
the people who initially found her as soon as they return from their
trip.

Thanks again for all your support and information, before I heard from
you… we were loosing hope, afraid that Echo would starve.  I passed
along the information you gave and it gave my daughter re-newed hope
and energy in her search.

We found ECHO today!!! She vetted good, lost some weight and a few
feathers up around her neck but otherwise ALL good! So very happy, I
thought I would never see her again.

Thank you for your help! I followed your tips and am sure I would not
have found her otherwise.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Echo (African Grey Congo) is missing from home between Slaughter & Nance in Madison, AL. Favorite mimic sounds include phone ring, microwave beeping, cat meow and barking or yelping puppy. Calls names: “Nora”, “Arwine”, of course her own name “Echo”. She sings the “Drowning Pool” heavy metal song “Let the bodies hit the Floor”, makes and incoming bomb noise — falling whistle with explosion at end. Also says: “Come here” & “Get in your Box”. Neighbors reported seeing Echo on roof on 5/2.
