He was a runaway found by my sister a couple months ago that I’ve been watching until she moves out here from the midwest. She’s literally driving out right now, and the bird (whose wings were clipped by the bird store she took him to after finding him) who has just barely started attempting to fly maybe a week ago? the most I’ve really seen him fly is 7 feet from his cage to the floor, but for some reason today he shot out the door and down the stairs, and out into the streets, and I couldn’t see where he went after that. I didn’t even know he had enough wing strength to really fly upwards. He likes singing a song that plays a single note over and over again that eventually goes up at the end of each phrase.

Not all of his flight feathers are completely back yet (although I thought he only had a handful but I guess they only have 5 flight feathers per side?) His wings are almost entirely grey with a white band across the bottom edge. soft orange coloring on the cheeks.
