Lovey is a friendly but feisty cockatiel. I recently inherited her from an owner who was mentally ill and emotionally erratic, and so Lovey can be timid and is likely extremely stressed right now. She flew south from the Venice, CA area and it was not long before I stopped hearing her call. She has never been in the wild. If you find her or have any news, please let me know.
On Thursday, September 14 at 10:00 a.m., Lovey, a six-year-old female yellow and white cockatiel escaped and flew away from our home in Marina del Rey, California. She flew south from Buccaneer and Pacific streets. She was spotted some blocks away during the day and was heard singing the next morning. Apparently, she has survived her first 24 hours in the wild. If you see her, please let me know. If you can
catch her, even better.
