Hi, Retta:  This is a happy e-mail…….I got my Sweety Pie back.  A neighbor down the road coaxed her out of his tree and held her overnight.  She was “so happy” to see me, that she bit my finger really hard!!!  My Sweety Pie doesn’t always live up to her name.  Thank you for your concern.  Do I have to do anything to remove my post on 911 Parrot Alert?  Just let me know. Thanks again.  Joanne 🙂

She is sweet, but may bite if you try to grab her. She will step-up upon request and will cuddle and let you pet her all over.. Sweety loves cookies. She has an adorable little voice; she talks, laughs and makes lots of gestures, like waving, spinning her head around, bobbing her head, flapping wings. As you can see in the picture, she has plucked her breast feathers in the past. PLEASE HELP US FIND OUR SWEETY PIE! Sweety got loose last evening. She flew across Route 71 (opposite our home on Old Kirkwood Road near Route 72).. She is full-flighted and could have flown towards Rt 40, Fox Run Shopping Center. If you spot her, I would appreciate your calling me immediately at the following numbers–my cell, 610-xxx-xxxx; home, 302-xxx-xxxx; my husband’s cell, 302-xxx-xxxx; work, 302-xxx-xxxx (Mon-Thurs, 10am-3pm). I also work part-time at Lums Pond Animal Hospita on t. 72 (Wrangle Hill Road)l . You could call them at 302-xxx-xxxx, as I have made them aware. Please look to the trees, bushes and rooftops. We already miss her so much. Thank you for anything you can do. Joanne Landis
