Maggie is a sweet but timid 6 yr old Grey. I have actually only had her just a week – she was a re-home from someone moving to a much smaller home and I was blessed to be entrusted with her care. I had wanted to clip her wings, but after reading more about how they can get hurt with their wings clipped and because she was used to being flighted, I decided not to clip them. She was getting much more comfortable in our home and had begun flying to land on me and also my daughter and she flew off her cage this morning and after my daughter who was going out the door. Some of the phrases she will say is Pooh Bear – and Go Away – I have heard a lot of whistling, but not as much talking as she was still acclimating to our home. I believe that she was happy – she has taken showers with me and loves it – Thanks in advance for any help finding her. Her back feathers and just below her neck in the front are chewed, I believe she was chewing them instead of plucking at her previous home because her owner’s daughter was caring for her while her owner was living away in the new location until she could find her a home. Otherwise, she appears to be very healthy, clear nose, non-scaly feet – a super well cared for bird!
