Bindi is a 12 year old Blue & Gold Macaw in great health missing from the family yard in Swartz Creek, Michigan. She went missing around 8pm Friday evening and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. We found a few tail feathers in the yard but no other evidence of injury. Her wings are clipped but her primary feathers have grown some. She, unlike most Macaws, has a silver ID band on each ankle, and a small bump (zit) on each cheek between her facial stripes.
If spooked she could fly but not necessarily gain altitude. She knows her name and may respond if addressed. Bindi has been with us since hatch. We miss her dearly. I know that she is frightened. Parrots are known to fly long distances to avoid danger. If you have seen this parrot please contact the information listed. Thank you for reading.
