Byrd aka Mister Peanuts originally went missing on Saturday evening, September 7, 2013. We were able to track him most of the day on Sunday, September 8, 2013 for he kept responding to my calls but seemed to have trouble landing where the cage and I stood. I kept following him from tree to tree and each time he would attempt to swoop down as low as possible but not low enough. I then lost sight of him as sunset approached. Today on Monday, September 9, 2013, he was spotted by someone in the neighborhood about 10 blocks from my house in an area consisting of mostly trees and a small stream but flew away out of sight by the time I arrived. This individual took both a video and a photo of the bird and shared it with me.

Byrd is approximately 18 years old with a yellow head and face, green body and a few red accent feathers along his wings and tail feathers. His favorite treat is peanuts, hence the nickname of Mister Peanuts. He often responds to and repeats: Hello, Hey Byrd, How are you & Are you ok.

I’ve posted several fliers, passed them out to people in the community, posted on social media (Facebook & Craigslist), sent out mass text messages, have gone out calling him for hours and have his cage open with his food bowls on top of the cage. I’ve notified the Town Hall, Police, Animal Control, Firemen & other City Employees. I am exhausted and I don’t know what other steps to take at this point. I really love and miss him. Please advise accordingly. Thank you
