Characteristics: Male, about 5 years old, very bright yellow feathers, white cheeks, pink cere, black spot on his lower right wing. He doesn’t trust humans very much, but he is friendly. He tries to bite when scared, but his bite does not hurt at all. His chirps are high and happy sounding. He does have a silver band on his left leg I believe. I know I took the number down somewhere but I can’t recall where I put it. He’s the sweetest little bird. His cage door was not closed correctly and he managed to escape. We believe he flew onto a nearby tree but it was dark out and we have not seen him since. We are in Nassau County on Long Island. I have more pictures of him.
