Mata is about 13″ long, including her tail. She’s green with a red “cap” and red chest. She is banded but not microchipped. She flew off yesterday morning and perched high in a tree most of the day. We called to her for hours, and she kept calling back but must have felt too nervous to come down. She finally seemed ready to fly down late in the afternoon but must have gotten confused. She went the wrong way but then heard me calling and took a turn. We haven’t been able to locate her since but heard her call twice yesterday evening. If you hear a parrot screech or see a bird that might be her in the Westminster Ridge area (near West Harrison and North White Plains), please let me know. We’re desperate to bring her home! Thank you!
