My blue and gold macaw was outside with me on Tuesday, July 2nd as she usually is in the evenings. She was perched up on the small tree in the backyard. I went inside to grab something and when I came back she was gone. I have recently clipped her wings, so I didn’t think that she could get very far…just be able to glide down if she were to try to take flight. However, I have not been able to locate her. I live in the Heatherwood Estates neighborhood in McKinney. It is off of Lake Forest, north of 380. She is missing her feathers on her body due to her obsessive behavior of plucking, I think due to mourning. If you have found her, or have sighted her, please let me know.
